Ruh Roh! When old news officially becomes NEWS
The Oxford English Dictionary has blessed Scooby Snacks (or Snax) as something worthy of being officially welcomed into the English language! Translation – Pets (including the human variety) with the munchies for dummy-yummies. 
In June of 2016, more than 1,000 words were recognized for this honor — including starter marriage and power couple. (Wow – I guess there really is no time like a decade or two ago.)
