The World According to Poco

First let me introduce myself – I am Poco, and I let the people who maintain this blog site live with me in Florida.  I am about thirteen years old, a female Calico half-Hemingway kitty who is just as cute as can be.  At least that is what everyone says.

I decided to start writing this blog because people and other cats seem to be very interested in me and my complicated, exciting life.  So here it is.

Starting out, I was what you would call a “stray cat” – at least my mother was.  She took me and my siblings to the back door of a house near where I was born, hoping that the humans there would help take care of us.  Of course, Miss Amy took us in, fed us, cared for us, and found us places to live.  I ended up with Kevin and Barbara when I was very young – about six weeks old.

You could say that I hit the Stray Cat Lottery.

We soon established the rules of the house.  I have an older “sister” (not really my sister, but, you know…) named Moxie, a rather glum black cat who reminds me of that donkey in Winnie the Pooh – Eeore.  But she is the Queen of the House, definitely in charge.  But you know what?  I don’t really care.  If she wants to be Queen, that is fine with me.  Why?

‘Cuz I’m cute.  That’s all I need.  And the place is big enough so that if I don’t want to be around her, it’s not a problem.

So every once in a while I will post my thoughts about what is going on in my world.  Stop by and take a look.
